Please enter at Gate 6 on Airport Road. Gate 6 will be the last gate on the left past the airport.
Leashed pets welcome!

All dogs must be on a fixed leash no longer than 6 feet long. Keep your dog close to you and under supervision at all times. All well behaved dogs with current vaccinations are welcome.

Johnny Peers _ His Muttville Comix
    Johnny Peers and the Muttville Comix is a slapstick comedy act like no other. Johnny leads over a dozen dogs through challenging and hilarious tricks as Johnny plays the straight man role in this wonderful show.

Pets on Parade Fashion Show
   See the latest in pet fashions and styles on Saturday! It's trendy and fun!

Pet CPR Demonstration
    R.E.A.C.H. Hospital will demonstrate how to correctly perform Pet CPR and administer emergency first aid.

P.A.W.S. First Award Presentation
    (Pets Are Worth Saving) The P.A.W.S. First award will be presented to Mary Cervini. She has gone above and beyond the call of duty by sacrificing time, energy and money to help animals which otherwise would not have the hope of a better future.

K9 Unit Demonstration
    The Buncombe County Sheriff's Department will demonstrate obedience and how their K9 unit assits the department. Hana, is a two year old belgian malinois. She is fully patrol trained. This includes narcotics searches, area searches, tracking and apprehension.

Wolfdogs: Common Misconceptions
    Dispelling the myth of the big bad wolf and the wolfdog. Presented by Nancy Brown of Full Moon Farm, Inc.

Common Household Pet Hazards
    Dr. Katie Gibson of R.E.A.C.H. Hosptial will discuss how many common household items can pose a threat to animal companions. Even some items specifically meant for pets could cause health problems. She will teach you how to use some common sense approaches and what precautions to take to keep your pets safe and healthy.

Petpalooza Costume Contest
    Guests, bring your pets dressed in their best costume and enter to win Expo Bucks to be spent with any of the expo vendors. There will be 1st, 2nd _ 3rd place winners.

Reptile Habitats and Husbandry
    Learn about the different aspects of care and the environments necessary to keep reptiles. Presented by Jim Paintiff of WNC Aquarium _ Imports.

Bird Demonstration
    Teri Rand, of Phoenix Landing, will discuss all you should know about owning a parrot, macaw or cockatoo and will demonstrate how intelligent these marvelous creatures are.

Importance of Spaying _ Neutering
    Harold Sims, of Catman2, will discuss the importance of spaying and neutering our pets and how important it is to adopt from shelters.

Interactive Mini-Training Sessions
    Kabler School for Dogs will have free training and behavioral  consultations. Guests may stop by the training arena throughout both expo days for valuable information and training tips.  

Rabies: Truths _ Myths
  North Carolina has one of the highest rates of rabies in the United States. Come learn some of the truths and myths you need to know to protect your family and pets from this fatal disease! Presented by Dr. Sarah Brown, Health Care for Pets.
